Done-for-you websites for coaches and heart-centered service providers

You didn't start your business to become a web designer.

Yet here you are, wrestling with themes, widgets, and that payment thing you still haven't set up. I can build it for you instead: a custom website you own, edit yourself, and never have to babysit. No WordPress, and no page builder to learn.

From $1,997 to build, then $99 a month for your care plan: updates, backups, and a real person who answers.

A website built this way: the Wise Owl Marketing home page, with a large headline and a photo of Heather

Sound familiar?

You've rebuilt it twice and it still isn't finished.

It's 10pm. You're staring at a half-built page, half your links don't work yet, and you're telling yourself you'll sort it out this weekend. You said that last weekend too.

AI does help, and I use it every day. But it will cheerfully hand you another set of step by step instructions when what you actually needed was for someone to make the decisions and finish the thing.

There's a more peaceful way. I'll build it for you. It's 100% your site. You own everything, and you can make changes to it yourself. The only difference is that it won't steal another evening.

That's the whole idea.

Why not WordPress?

I loved WordPress, but I don't build on it anymore.

I've built hundreds of WordPress sites and been an evangelist since about 2007. But in the last year or so, I've spent way too much time cleaning up malware, untangling plugin conflicts, and watching page builders slow beautiful sites to a crawl.

So when it was time to rebuild my own site, I didn't use WordPress. I built it the new way, with no plugins to update and no database to hack. It's been running ever since with nothing to patch.

That's what I build for you now. Not because WordPress is bad, but because you deserve a website that never sends you a warning email.

What you get

A finished website you can edit yourself.

Your pages, written with you

Home, About, Services, Contact, and whatever your business actually needs. I write them with you, so the words sound like you and say what you do in the first ten seconds.

An editor that's easy to use

Open your page, change your words, and hit publish. Your headline, your prices, your bio. The design holds no matter what you type, because you're editing the content, not the layout.

Built to be found, by Google and by AI

Every page ships with the titles, descriptions, and structured data search engines read. More people now ask AI assistants for recommendations, so your site is built the way those tools can read and cite it: fast, clean, clearly organized. It's just how I build.

Hosting and the tech headaches, handled

Hosting, security certificate, backups, monitoring, updates. All covered by your monthly care plan. Nothing to renew, nothing to patch, no scary emails telling you there's an issue you have no idea how to fix.

Legal pages on every site

Privacy, Terms, and a cookie consent banner come standard at every tier. A site collecting names and emails needs them, so they're not an upgrade. If you don't have them yet, I recommend Termageddon, whether you work with me or not.

Your email list, connected

An opt-in page for your lead magnet, with a signup form wired into the email platform you already use. Visitors become subscribers and get your welcome sequence automatically.

The code is yours

If you ever leave, you take the whole website with you. And I'll help you move it. My only ask is 30 days' notice before you cancel your care plan, so there's time to get your site settled into its new home.

How it works

Three steps, about two weeks.

We talk, then you fill in one questionnaire

One call, about 45 minutes, then a questionnaire covering your services, your pricing, and who you want to reach. Send photos and a logo if you have them. That's the whole ask.

I draft your pages from what you give me, then you read them over and change anything that doesn't sound like you. Editing is much faster than starting from scratch.

I build it, you review it on a private link

You see the real website, not a mockup, at an address only you have. Read it on your phone, mark up what's wrong, and I fix it. Two rounds of changes are included. Most people use one.

I move your domain and we go live

I point your domain at the new site and set up redirects so links people have saved keep working. Then I show you how to edit your own pages. It takes about twenty minutes to learn.

Sounds like what you need?

Book a short call and I'll tell you which build fits, or whether you should keep the site you have.

Pricing

Affordable to build and keep running.

The build is a one-time cost. The care plan covers security, backups, updates, and your edit requests. Every tier has a payment plan, so you can start for as little as $699. Hosting is free for most sites.

Starter

One payment of $1,997
or three monthly payments of $697

For the coach or service provider who needs to look as good online as in person, and start booking calls.

Rescue

From $3,997 then $99 a month

One payment of $3,997
or three monthly payments of $1,397

  • Everything in Complete, plus:
  • Your existing pages and posts moved over, keeping your SEO titles, descriptions, and featured images
  • Redirects so your old links keep working
  • Your old site kept live until the new one answers properly

Founding clients

The first three websites go out at the founding rate: $1,500 Starter, $2,500 Complete, $3,500 Rescue. In return I ask for your honest feedback and permission to show your site as an example. Once those three are booked, the prices above are the prices.

I take on three website builds a month, so your two weeks stay two weeks. If this month is full, I'll tell you on the call and give you the next available date.

Prices cover the website itself. Your domain registration, booking calendar, email platform, and privacy policy service bill you directly. Paying over three months costs a little more than paying at once, and the exact figures are on each card above.

The monthly care plan

What's covered and what's not.

You're hiring me to keep your site running and current, and to be there when you need help, want to change something, or have a question.

Covered

  • Backups and monitoring
  • Software updates and security patches
  • Up to 30 minutes of edit requests each month
  • Email support, answered within one business day

Quoted separately

  • New pages after launch
  • A rebrand or new design
  • Ongoing copywriting
  • Online stores and course platforms
  • Anything bigger than the 30 minutes

The 30 minutes is for the everyday changes: a new price, a new testimonial, a service you've retired. Anything bigger gets a quote before I start, so there's never a surprise invoice. Time doesn't roll over.

What about hosting? It costs almost nothing, and most clients pay nothing at all. Large or high-traffic sites that outgrow the free tiers pay around $19 a month, billed by the host and not included in the care plan.

Fit

This isn't right for everyone.

A good fit if

  • You sell your expertise: coaching, services, programs, or packages
  • Your WordPress site has become a chore you dread
  • You want a fast, secure site you're proud to promote
  • You want to publish your own blog posts and update your own pages
  • You'd rather run your business than manage a website

Not a good fit if

  • You need a store with a large product catalog
  • You need a membership site with logins and gated content. I recommend Circle for that, and I'll help you connect it
  • You want to install plugins and rearrange things yourself
  • You want someone writing all your content, forever
  • You want to be the one building it, start to finish

Need full custom strategy and funnels instead? Ask me on the call.

One I built

Here's the one I rebuilt for myself.

Wise Owl Marketing ran on WordPress for years. I moved the whole thing onto the setup described on this page: 107 blog posts, 17 list-building offers, and the everyday pages any business needs. Every old link still works.

Who builds it

Hello, I'm Heather.

Heather Stephens, founder of Wise Owl Marketing, working on her laptop at home

I'm a marketing strategist and website designer for coaches, consultants, and service providers. I built my first website in 1999, and I started Wise Owl Marketing in 2015 to build websites and funnels that attract visitors, grow an email list, and fill a practice.

I come at website design from marketing first. Before I think about how a page looks, I work out what it has to do: who it's for, what you want them to do next, and how they'll find you at all. Then we make it beautiful. A site that wins compliments but never brings you a client hasn't done its job.

I learned one thing the hard way along the way: more marketing isn't the answer. Better systems are. Today I build the tools and the playbook too, the PeacefulBiz app, the Peaceful Marketing Lab, and the PEACE Blueprint.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is this WordPress?
No. Your site is built as plain, fast, secure files with a modern editor on top. That's why there are no plugins to update, no security scans to run, and nothing that breaks while you sleep. If your current site is WordPress, the Rescue tier moves everything over, blog and all.
Do I own the website, or am I renting it?
You own it. If you decide to leave, I hand you everything and help you move it. The monthly pays for hosting and support, not a license fee for your own pages.
What happens to my old WordPress site?
It keeps running until the new one is ready. When we move your domain, redirects make sure saved and shared links still work, and the old hosting stays up for a while as a fallback. Nothing gets switched off until the new site is answering properly.
Can I really edit it myself?
Yes. Log in through your browser, click the page, change the words, publish. It feels like writing a document. I walk you through it at launch, and you can email me any time you get stuck.
Will my website show up in Google and AI search results?
Your site launches with every technical advantage: fast load, clean structure, and the metadata both search engines and AI assistants read. Whether you show up for the searches that matter also depends on what you publish over time, which is where your blog comes in. If you want help with that strategy, that's exactly what I teach inside the Peaceful Marketing Lab.
How long does it take?
About two weeks from the day your questionnaire comes back, for Starter and Complete. A Rescue takes longer because every old link has to be accounted for. I'll give you a date once I've seen the existing site.
What if I want to stop the monthly?
Stop any time. No cancellation fee, no minimum term. I hand over your website and help you move it to your own hosting. You lose the support and maintenance, not the site.
What would it cost to host it myself?
Very little, often nothing. Your site is plain static files, so it runs comfortably on free hosting tiers, and the paid step if you ever outgrow them is around $19 a month. I hand you the code, help you move, and give you a written guide.
What can I change myself, and what needs a developer?
You can edit every word, change prices, swap photos, and publish blog posts. A brand-new page, a layout change, or the software underneath needs a developer. That's true of any custom-built site, and it's the honest trade for one that's fast and never needs patching. If what you really want is to install plugins and rearrange things yourself, WordPress is the better tool, and I'll tell you so on the call.
Can you write my copy for me?
The build includes writing your pages with you, from the questionnaire and the call. Ongoing content like weekly posts or email sequences is separate work, quoted on its own.

Next step

Tell me about your business.

A short call, no pitch. Tell me what you do and what your current website costs you in money and patience. I'll tell you which build fits. And if you should keep what you have, I'll say so.

The calendar comes from TidyCal and sets its own cookies, so it only loads when you ask. You can also open the booking page in a new tab.
